Noise Reduction

Any golf swing that is hitting down on the ball generates a great deal of noise to the point my swing has unconsciously changed to hitting the ball thin to avoid making so much noise. This swing change stuck with me on a recent trip out west. It took a bit of work on the outdoor range to get back to striking down on the ball.

My Swing Pad is on a concrete slab next to a tee box made of two 3/4 inch plywood pieces screwed, glued, and carpeted to be at the same height. Ceiling clearance is a bit tight.

Has anyone with a similar setup found a solution to reduce noise? I am considering cutting the concrete to inlay the swing pad with a piece of foam underneath.

Loved my opti shot bought a HD projector and wall sized screen what a blast. I live in Nebraska played every night in the winter. Tried a after market turf that was taller and thicker. Also a foam pad.
Both helped but finally had to decide if I was going to be an inside golfer or outside had the same issue your experiencing and it got to be a real battle. PS choose outside (Goodluck)
