Question
Distance optimization with all clubs
It has been a long journey to get accurate yardages.
I have ended up with the following setup after over 100 swings with each club.
SW 113% ( now 94m)
AW 109% (now 106m)
PW 105% (now 118m)
9i 99% (now 130m)
8i 96% (now 141m)
7i 92% (now 154m)
6i 88% (now 163m)
5i 84% (now 176m)
4i 81% (now 186m)
3i 78% (now 195m)
1i 90% (now 209m)
3W 73% (now 222m)
Driver 77% ( now 245m)
At these swing speeds I have been able to replicate the true distances I would expect to see on the real course. I am a 3 HCP and believe I know my swing and yardages well enough to say this with high certainty.
I have given all the accurate info on loft, shaft length, offset etc. Got it directly from callaway. Originally I was averaging over 300m with the driver and 230 with a 3iron. I hit it hard, but that is just ridiculous. On the other hand I was only hitting my sand wedge 80m.
Has anyone else had to make this drastic changes to the clubset?
Sure... I'm happy with it now but I don't understand why everyone would not run in to the same problem. It looks to me as though some people have been able to just plug and play. Or are they just kidding themselves with the yardages they are been given with for example with the Driver? 270 yards is a #%&?ing long drive for your regular 19hcp. This is what I have to assume many of us are being given by the system.
I have also had to reduce the putter to 60%. I felt that the greens were just insanely fast at 100%.
I am using the following equipment on the Optishot
X18 Callaway irons 3-9 P A S
Ram 1i (reads much better than my TM hybrid)
Taylor Made Burner 3wood (reads much better than my TM 3W)
Callaway Steelhead Driver (same as above for my TM RBZ2)
