Setting Up Your Environment
1.
In order for your OptiShot to work optimally,
fluorescent lighting is best. Warehouse lighting
such as Sodium Vapor or Metal Halide also works
very well. Overhead light is generally better than
light from the side of the room.
2.
Eliminate incandescent, halogen and any
outside day light from the area you are using
the device. Even small amounts of indirect
light from these sources may affect
performance.
3.
Eliminate any object that may cause shadows from
crossing the sensors. This includes the shadow of
the club shaft and silhouette of the golfer.
Common Sense Warning
Swinging a golf club can be dangerous
around people and pets. Adult supervision is
required. Although real balls work well with
OptiShot, we recommend the use of soft
golf balls to reduce the chance of harm to
property or injury to others. Use of this
Product is AT YOUR OWN RISK. Please
carefully review the End User License
Agreement (provided) for further
information.

Setting Up the Hardware
1.
Turn the Optical Swing Pad over and
insert the tee in the round hole on
the bottom of the pad until it is
flush against the device.
2.
If you purchased a commercial mat,
place the Optical Swing Pad into the
precision cutout of the mat.
3.
Turnover and lay the Optical Swing
Pad on the floor in the direction
indicated on the pad.
4.
Insert the USB cable cord in the side
of the Optical Swing Pad (under the
mat). Insert the other side of the
cord into the USB port of your
computer.
TIP: Extending the cable longer than 15ft can reduce the power to the unit and thus affect its
performance. When using a USB extension we recommend using a powered USB hub. H aving multiple
USB powered peripherals connected to a computer can also sometimes cause problems. In this case try
disconnecting the unneeded peripherals when using your simulator. Some computers are known to not
provide enough voltage from the USB ports to power some USB devices. In this case we recommend
using a powered USB hub to provide the Swing Pad with enough power to operate correctly.

Running OptiShot
1.
Exit the Practice Zone then double-click the "OptiShot 2010"
icon found on your desktop.
2.
3DD Golf gives you the option to practice or play on any course in our
OptiShot library, select the option you would like to begin with.
3.
Select the course you would like to play or practice on and wait for it to
load.
4.
First, select the club type you will be using for your first shot. The
software will select a default club before each shot, however you will
want to ensure before every shot the club in your hand matches the
one selected in the software.
5.
Select your ball type, by clicking the up arrow on the ball menu, in the
software to match the ball you are using. You have the option to use
real balls, foam balls, or no balls at all.
6.
You have the option to aim your shot by using the right and left arrows
on the bottom of your screen.
7.
You are now ready to practice and play away!
TIP: The 3DD Golf program is designed to run with the latest video card drivers. If you have
older drivers installed on your computer the program may not run well, or even run at all. The
video driver is software that is used to send on screen instructions from 3DD Golf to your video
graphics card. It is critical that is the very latest driver. You should get the video driver from the
same manufacturer that makes your video card. The one exception to this rule is with laptops.
If you have a laptop you should get the latest driver from your laptop manufacturer. For more
